I am naturally a non-conflict-seeking person. Therefore, I don’t express concerns or opinions, but it is my nature, not my environment that causes me to not “express” concerns.

No-staff and environment is so fearful to speak for worry of job loss. Recent articles in local papers bashed teachers who are tax payers in the community for going to board meetings and voting, when they have the right to. This perception is fostered by the board to this community.

No, absolutely not. Management style is by intimidation, and fear. A terrible climate has been created for the employees which is eventually going to trickle down to the children. This is not what WGSD used to be….what has changed…and why? The students should always come first in education. We should have a caring environment in which teachers are trusted to make a decision about when is the right time to discuss things with their students without worrying that they have it written on their walk through that lesson plans were not being followed, or that a judgment is made on what is going on in the classroom.
