In November of 2021 Ed Brzinski, WGSD District Administrator, notified the WGSD staff that he would be retiring at the end of the 2021-22 school year. Mr. Brzinski first shared his intention to retire with the WGSD School Board in June 2021 and they accepted.

Dear Members of the Waterford Graded School District,
The Waterford Graded School District Board of Education is seeking a new superintendent to replace Edward Brzinski who is retiring on June 30, 2022.
The Board has retained the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) to assist with the search. The School Board would like to gather input from staff and the community related to the hiring of a new superintendent. To best accomplish this task, the School Board will conduct focus groups led by the WASB Search Services consultant. The information gathered from the focus groups will assist the School Board in the preparation of essay questions for the application process, the development of questions for use during interviews, and the creation of a profile outlining the skills and characteristics sought in candidates for the position.
The School Board would like you to participate in the focus groups. You would join 8-12 other individuals and be asked to respond to questions prepared by the WASB Search Services consultant. No advance preparation is required, and the entire process will last only 45 to 60 minutes. The focus groups will be conducted at Fox River Middle School Library, 921 W. Main St. on Tuesday, December 14th. Your specific group will meet at 6:15-7:15. To confirm your availability, please respond to Lisa Mutter at mutter@waterford.k12.wi.us by Monday, December 13th at 12 noon.
