A school board is elected by its constituents and is expected to operate transparently. The materials it reviews in order to make informed decisions should be readily available to anyone, except when prohibited by law. I have requested information from the District that some Board members feel I should not have requested. They have described these requests as “trite”, causing “an undue burden on the District”, and “wasting taxpayers dollars”. I believe these opinions are self-serving and ultimately harmful to the District’s goal of educating our children. I have shared my opinion with the school board publicly at the last two Board meetings during Citizen Input. You can view my comments below.
