Board Meeting – Mar 16, 2015

bowser-speak
Dan Bowser, past WGSD school board candidate, addresses the school board about how we educate out students. Here are a few of the questions raised: Are students allowed to learn at their own pace? Are students socially Is learning linear? Is technology leveraged against individual learning plans? Are the online tools in use tracking student progress in real time? Are these online tools free? Is learning fun? Are there social outlets that promote learning and make it “cool” to pursue knowledge. Are opportunities available that promote learning and encourage students to mentor others? Will out students understand and contribute to technology, or are they just becoming users. Have we considered creating a STEM Academy within the WGSD? Would these options bring like minded families into our community?

The posting of tonight’s meeting is in a single video format. I have added more time stamps so you can locate segments of interest.
