Loss of Revenue from Leaving NSLP

Below are two DPI reports of revenue for Fund 50 (Food Service Fund). The first is for the school year 2013-14, which is the last year WGSD participated in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). That year the state and federal revenue exceeded $200,000.

The second report, below, is for the 2014-15 school year. This was the year WGSD left the NSLP. As you can see, the state and federal revenue decreased by $174,000, and totaled less than $26,000. It is my understanding that the amount received was for a milk program that is available to districts that do not participate in the NSLP.wgsd-fund-50-revenue-2014-15
